HOTTY TPX® Mandrel

This product is mandrel which is made of TPX®
(polymethylpentene, PMP).

TPX® is a resin with excellent transparency, heat resistance and chemical resistance.
It has excellent stain resistance and mold release characteristics, because its surface tension is 24 dyne/cm. In addition,it has excellent heat aging resistance, steam (boiling water) resistance.Because of the above advantages, it can reduce the production cost and the vulcanization process of rubber hose. Also, the dimensional accuracy is good because of its low water absorption rate. In recent years, it is used as a mandrel of carbon products such as C-FRP. In addition,it is possible to reduce the occurrence of voidsby our special production equipment.

Heat Resistance

It can be used at high-temperature because its Vicat softening point is high. Melting point (220-240 °C)
