Funcle
A Shape-changeable Plastic Extrusion

Funcle is a particular kind of plastic extrusion which
becomes soft at a temperature of around 40 degrees
Celsius, and is solidified when cooled in the water.
Quite low glass transition temperature gives “Funcle” a unique characteristic, post-molding deformation. Around 40℃, the material gets soft so that Funcle can be reshaped.
When it is cooled by water, it becomes solidified and keeps its new shape. (Note: Its embritllement temperature is below zero)
Funcle shows resistance to acid and alkali as it is made from olefin resin, and its specific gravity is only 0.84. As the material is FDA-approved (only FCN), Funcle can be employed for food application.
